The production of the Dodge Charger and Challenger ended with a thousand-horsepower demon
The last car produced on the LA/LD platform was the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon 170. From 2024, Dodge muscle cars will enter the electric era.
It's been planned for a long time, but the moment of the end of production is an opportunity to pause - the Dodge Charger and Challenger in their current versions definitely stopped rolling off the production line on December 22 of last year. Two days earlier, the last Chrysler 300 was created, standing on the same platform.
The last challenger was the SRT Demon 170 version, which will offer up to 764 kW, i.e. 1,039 horses, and 1,281 newton meters, if you refuel with at least 65% ethanol. It may be a car whose production slot was sold at a charity auction in June 2023 for 700,000 dollars, i.e. almost 15.1 million crowns, but it is not confirmed - at that time it was the last production slot to be had, which may not mean chronologically the last one produced car.
